Your Role in a Nutshell
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you’ll enjoy:
- Competitive Base Salary: Start with a base salary of £45,378 (including London Weighting Allowance, if applicable), with potential on-target earnings of up to £57,000.
- Guaranteed Overtime: Increase your earnings with guaranteed overtime options and additional bonus opportunities.
- Structured Work Hours: Work 40 hours a week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and just 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Your Daily Adventure
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, and each job is pre-booked with the member expecting you. You’ll carry out:
- Routine servicing
- Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
- In-depth repairs
- Member advice and recommendations
- Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
From day one, you’ll have everything you need: a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set, and advanced diagnostics. Use your technical skills to get people moving again—safely, quickly, and confidently!
What You’ll Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
