At ISP School, located in the beautiful Glengorse Estate in Battle, East Sussex, we provide specialist education for children aged 7-18 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), as well as communication and learning needs. Our mission is to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters self-discipline, engagement, and a love for learning.

Position Overview

Contract: Part-time, 15 hours per week (2 days), term time only

Salary: £28,000 - £39,590 pro rata

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Battle

Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a key member of our teaching team, you will:

  • Teach at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Plan, prepare, and present engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of your students.
  • Utilize our positive behaviour policy to help students become responsible citizens.
  • Motivate and inspire children to access learning and develop a passion for education.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Successful teaching experience, particularly with vulnerable children.
  • Experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN), focusing on nurture for children with SEMH and ASC needs.
  • A strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, especially in Maths and/or English.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and a reflective approach to teaching.
  • A good understanding of therapeutic approaches to education.
  • The ability to adapt your teaching to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • A proven track record of delivering dynamic and engaging lessons.

All successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP School Battle.
