Permanent position, 20 hours per week
Join our Logistics Department at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust as a Logistics Operative and play a vital role in supporting frontline patient care. As part of a dedicated Procurement and Supply team, youll ensure wards and departments have the right products, in the right place, at the right timedirectly contributing to safe and effective care delivery across the Trust. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role where no two days are the same, offering the chance to work closely with clinical teams and develop valuable skills in logistics, stock management and customer service.
Youll be responsible for delivering goods across hospital departments. The role requires strong attention to detail, as youll check deliveries, monitor stock levels and ensure products are stored safely and efficiently. You will also communicate with a wide range of colleagues, helping to solve supply issues and improve processes to support patient services.
This is a physically active position involving manual handling, including moving cages, unloading deliveries and transporting goods between locations Previous experience in logistics, stock control or customer service is desirable, along with confidence using IT systems and a proactive, team-focused approach.

This role is all about keeping vital clinical services running smoothly behind the scenes. As a Logistics Operative, youll ensure essential supplies are available when and where theyre needed, helping colleagues deliver safe, effective patient care. It takes someone who is organised, reliable and proactive, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to get stuck in as part of a supportive team.
Youll need to be comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment where priorities can change quickly. Good communication skills, attention to detail and a positive, customer-focused approach are key, as youll be working with a wide range of staff across the Trust. A practical mindset and the ability to handle physical tasks are also important.
