Salary: £46,202.89 per year (with potential earnings up to £53,402.89 through bonuses)

Specific Hours: 40 hours per week

At Headway Adolescent Resources, we have been making a difference since 1999. We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our dedicated team in Badgworth, Axbridge.

Your Role

As the Registered Manager, you will:

  • Oversee a 3-bedded children's home in a serene rural setting.
  • Lead a passionate staff team of 6, ensuring high-quality care that enriches the lives of our young residents.
  • Manage the home’s operations efficiently, handling administrative tasks and wider operational responsibilities.
  • Produce, update, and monitor care plans and reports, demonstrating your organizational skills.
  • Inspire and develop your team in a positive, open culture, including delivering training.
  • Represent our company professionally to external agencies and contribute to our community development.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate: Committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people.
  • Knowledgeable: Well-versed in Children's Home legislation, Ofsted inspection requirements, and child protection protocols.
  • Qualified: Holds a recognized social work qualification (e.g., QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Children and Young People).
  • Experienced: Has at least 2 years of relevant experience in residential care, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Mobile: Licensed to drive a manual car with business insurance and able to undertake on-call duties (approximately 2 per month).

What We Offer

We believe in rewarding our team for their hard work and dedication. Here’s what you can expect:

  • 22 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
  • Occupancy Bonus: £175 per child after the first child (e.g., 3-bed home = 2 x £175 = £350 per month).
  • £2,000 car allowance.
  • Ofsted Report Bonuses: £500 for a Good report and £1,000 for an Outstanding report.
  • Non-contributory pension with a 9% employer contribution and company sick pay after 6 months probation.
  • On-call payments: £10 per day Monday to Friday and £50 for Saturday and Sunday.
  • Enhanced sick pay: 5 days full sick pay.
