At the Integrated Services Programme (ISP), we are looking for a dedicated Supervising Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Ashurst, Southampton. Our therapeutic approach to fostering ensures that children and foster parents receive the specialized support they need to thrive.

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments and decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to fostering. Here’s what you need to bring:

  • A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and publications related to children's services.
  • A full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This is a demanding yet rewarding position that requires excellent report writing skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines. You will also be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
