Join Our Team as a Senior/Supervising Social Worker!

At Fostering People, we are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly and dynamic team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering 21 hours per week over 3 days, with a competitive salary of up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE).

Your Role
As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, you will:
- Recruit, train, assess, support, and supervise a diverse range of Foster Parents.
- Ensure high-quality placements for looked-after children.
- Work primarily across Derby and Derbyshire, with some opportunities in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

What We’re Looking For
We seek an enthusiastic and committed self-starter who can:
- Work independently while maintaining strong communication with team members and Foster Parents.
- Demonstrate excellent assessment skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Utilize good IT skills to produce high-quality reports.
- Hold a qualification as a Social Worker with current HCPC registration.
- Possess recent experience in fostering and services for children (though less experienced candidates are welcome to apply).
- Have a solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and safeguarding.
- Bring a shared creative vision and drive, whether you’re new to fostering or an experienced professional.
Working Conditions & Benefits
This part-time, home-based position comes with:
- A highly attractive salary of up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE), depending on experience.
- A £1,000 car allowance, pro rata.
- 30 days of annual leave, pro rata, plus bank holidays.
