About the Role
As a Principal Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission. This is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to lead, inspire, and make a lasting impact. You will work closely with children, foster parents, and a dedicated team to promote a culture of understanding and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and deputise for the Registered Manager as needed.
- Supervise team members to ensure effective functioning.
- Empower foster parents to reach their full potential.
- Monitor compliance and promote best practices among foster parents and staff.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and professionals to prioritize safeguarding and positive outcomes.
- Join an out-of-hours rota to provide managerial support to Social Workers.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced social worker who is passionate about making a difference. Here’s what you need:
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Experience working with Children Looked After and foster parents.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and fostering standards.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously while being a team player.
- Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with children, foster parents, and professionals.
- A full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent position based in Long Eaton, with a commitment of 35 hours per week. You will be part of a supportive and compassionate team that values your expertise and leadership.
