Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of children and families? At Fostering People, we are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our dynamic team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work from home while supporting Foster Parents across the beautiful East Midlands, primarily in Derby and Derbyshire, with some involvement in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Your Role

As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, you will:

  • Recruit, train, assess, support, and supervise a diverse range of Foster Parents.
  • Ensure high-quality placements for looked-after children.
  • Work closely with a friendly and supportive team.

What We’re Looking For

We seek an enthusiastic and committed self-starter who can work independently while maintaining strong connections with team members and Foster Parents. Here’s what you need:

  • Excellent assessment skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • Qualified Social Worker with current HCPC registration.
  • Recent experience in fostering and services for children is desirable, though less experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
  • A solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and safeguarding.
  • A shared creative vision and drive to make a difference.

Working Conditions & Benefits

This part-time, home-based position offers:

  • Salary of up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE), based on experience.
  • £1,000 Car Allowance, pro rata.
  • 30 days' annual leave, pro rata, plus bank holidays.
