What to Expect
During your 24-month post-doctoral placement, you will:

- Lead analytical method development to tackle consumer challenges.
- Utilize advanced instrumentation to generate critical data and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute advanced laboratory experiments focused on volatile and semi-volatile analysis using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
- Develop, validate, and implement novel analytical methods, particularly using advanced sample introduction techniques like Headspace Solid-Phase Microextraction (HS-SPME) and Thermal Desorption (TD).
- Analyze and interpret complex data to provide actionable insights for technology development.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of senior scientists, engineers, and product developers.
- Take ownership of critical analytical instrumentation, ensuring optimal performance.
- Communicate findings effectively through technical reports and presentations.

What We Look For
- You must be currently enrolled in the final year of a PhD program or have recently completed a PhD (within the last 1-2 years) in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) with a preference for 3+ years of hands-on experience.
- Experience with advanced sample introduction techniques for GC-MS, specifically HS-SPME and/or TD.
- A strong foundation in analytical chemistry principles and a passion for hands-on laboratory work.
- Proven track record of independent problem-solving and method development.
- Demonstrated technical curiosity, creativity, initiative, and strong communication skills.
