Base Location: Ashurst, Southampton
Salary: Up to £39,500 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Your Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to fostering. Your role will involve:

  • Direct support of foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
  • Providing regular supervision to foster parents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments and decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children’s services.
  • A full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This is a demanding yet rewarding position that includes quality assurance and training responsibilities for both prospective and current foster parents. You will need to be an excellent report writer and able to meet strict deadlines.
