Position: Senior/Supervising Social Worker (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Hours: 21 hours per week over 3 days
Salary: Up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE)
Location: Home-based, supporting Foster Parents across the East Midlands, primarily in Derby and Derbyshire, with some households in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Your Role

We are looking for a passionate Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly and dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in:

  • Recruiting, training, assessing, and supporting Foster Parents.
  • Ensuring high-quality placements for looked-after children.

What We’re Looking For

We seek an enthusiastic and committed self-starter who can work independently while staying connected with team members and Foster Parents. Here’s what you need:

  • Excellent assessment and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • Qualified Social Worker with current HCPC registration.
  • Recent experience in fostering and services for children is desirable, but we welcome less experienced candidates.
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and safeguarding.
  • A shared creative vision and drive, whether you’re new to fostering or an experienced professional.

Working Conditions & Benefits

This part-time, fixed-term position is home-based and offers:

  • Salary of up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE), based on experience.
  • £1,000 Car Allowance (pro rata).
  • 30 days of annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays.
