Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. This is a demanding yet rewarding position that requires a collaborative spirit and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to foster parents, maintaining a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents. Here’s what you need:
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- A solid understanding of relevant legislation and publications related to children’s services.
- A full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car.
Working Conditions
This position requires excellent report writing skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines. You will also need to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
