Your Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents. You will play a crucial part in:
- Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, ensuring high levels of supervision.
- Offering regular supervision to allocated foster parents, monitoring their practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children’s services.
- A full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car.
This position is demanding yet rewarding, requiring excellent report writing skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines. You will also be responsible for quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.
