What to Expect
During your 24-month post-doctoral placement, you will:

Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of our team, you will:
- Design and execute advanced laboratory experiments focused on volatile and semi-volatile analysis using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
- Develop, validate, and implement novel analytical methods, leveraging advanced sample introduction techniques like Headspace Solid-Phase Microextraction (HS-SPME) and Thermal Desorption (TD).
- Analyze and interpret complex analytical data to provide actionable insights for technology development.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of senior scientists, engineers, and product developers to drive R&D initiatives.
- Take ownership of critical analytical instrumentation, ensuring routine maintenance and performance optimization.
- Communicate findings effectively through technical reports and presentations to diverse stakeholders.

What We Look For
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in the final year of a PhD program or recently completed a PhD (within the last 1-2 years) in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), with a strong preference for 3+ years of hands-on experience.
- Direct experience with advanced sample introduction techniques for GC-MS, specifically HS-SPME and/or TD measurements.
- A solid foundation in analytical chemistry principles and a genuine passion for hands-on laboratory work.
- Academic excellence with a proven track record of independent problem-solving and method development.
- Demonstrated technical curiosity, creativity, initiative, leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Evidence of achievements in academic and/or non-academic activities, internships, or short work experiences is a plus.
