Why Choose Us?

At Easthorpe School, we are more than just an educational institution; we are a nurturing community dedicated to empowering children and young people. Opened in November 2022, our independent specialist provision in the East Midlands is designed for those living with families, foster carers, or in residential homes.

As we expand to accommodate growing pupil numbers in our Lower School (ages 7-13), we maintain a supportive environment with class sizes capped at 6 pupils, each guided by a qualified teacher and up to 2 teaching assistants. Our focus is on supporting pupils with SEMH and various diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and more.

This is your chance to make a real impact! Join us in shaping our provision and enriching the lives of our pupils while enhancing your own teaching skills in a rewarding sector.

  • Collaborate with the class team to facilitate learning and promote positive behaviors.
  • Monitor pupil progress and work closely with staff to meet individual needs.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips.
  • Build positive relationships to support learning outcomes.

  • Experience teaching GCSE Science at the secondary level.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH.
  • Strong behavior management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

What We Offer You

  • A workplace that prioritizes wellbeing.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference in students' lives.
  • A supportive and inclusive team environment.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, with the cost covered by Easthorpe School. We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer, committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All staff are expected to share this commitment.
