With class sizes capped at 6 pupils, each classroom is supported by a qualified teacher and up to 2 teaching assistants. We focus on supporting pupils with SEMH and various diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, attachment needs, and mild/moderate learning needs.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Secondary Science GCSE Class Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Collaborate with the class team to facilitate learning and promote positive behaviors.
- Monitor pupil progress and liaise with staff to ensure individual needs are met.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips.
- Build positive relationships to support learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A degree-level education
- Experience teaching GCSE Science at the secondary level
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH
- Strong behavior management skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development
- A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
