We're looking for a confident and motivated Marketing Strategist join our Marketing and Sales team on a fixed term contract basis (covering maternity leave). You will be working 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE) on a hybrid basis, with 1 day per week working from our Woking office and the rest of the week remotely.
You will be leading the development, implementation and analysis of marketing student recruitment strategies and commercial propositions designed to meet the University's goals, such as increasing awareness, driving enrolments and engagement or entering new markets in the UK and internationally across the whole student journey.

As our Marketing Strategist, you will:
- Lead on analysing market research to understand industry trends, student needs and behaviours and competitor activities
- Ownership of the development and implementation of data-driven marketing strategies, including media strategies, aligned with the business and student recruitment objectives
- Define and develop the student recruitment marketing positioning in the market and ensure consistency in communication.
- Develop compelling messaging and value propositions that resonate with the target audience, across all platforms, which align with our brand.
- Work closely with the commercial analysis, sales, admissions, creative teams, domestic and international student recruitment teams to ensure marketing efforts align with overall business goals.
- Ownership and efficient management of the marketing budget, allocating resources to the most effective channels and campaigns.
- Experience and proven background of developing and implementing marketing strategies to support an organisation's strategic plan, including new and innovative approaches and of presenting such proposals at a senior level.
- Media agency experience and management
- Experience creating detailed reports using analytics tools and providing recommendations based on the results
- Knowledge of strategic marketing management techniques and tools
- Strategic thinker with the ability to focus on the bigger picture and see and create connections.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to draw insight from complex data to develop meaningful measurement reports, analysis and actionable recommendations
