Your New Role...

Are you a qualified electrician eager to make a real impact? Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden is on the lookout for a confident and organized Assistant Lead Electrician to help maintain, modify, and install electrical systems across our iconic studio site.

In this hands-on role, you’ll support the Lead Electrician in managing a skilled team and coordinating subcontractors to maintain critical WB assets. You’ll be the go-to person for monitoring productivity and ensuring safe working practices. Your responsibilities will include:

• Organizing workflows and coaching team members.
• Resolving issues and acting as a vital link between cross-functional teams and management.
• Assisting with general maintenance tasks or delegating them to in-house teams or contractors.
• Ensuring the studio is always ready for action, from reactive callouts to planned maintenance.

Your Role Accountabilities...

• Plan, organize, and execute maintenance tasks.
• Report progress and updates through various media outlets.
• Maintain accurate records, including compliance and sign-off sheets.
• Monitor health and safety compliance, ensuring correct PPE is worn.
• Ensure continuous operation and legal compliance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Operate and maintain mechanical systems via the BMS.
• Supervise and carry out small installations and modifications.
• React to emergencies, implementing fixes to minimize downtime.
• Manage in-house rotas, holiday requests, and sickness cover.
• Audit stock levels to ensure critical spares are always available.

Qualifications & Experiences...

• Experience with site plant equipment (MEWPS training provided).
• Trailer and forklift experience (training provided).
• Working knowledge of industrial and commercial systems.
• Technologically proficient in Electrical and Automation systems.
• Knowledge of Building Management System (BMS) (training provided).
• Full working knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for fault finding.
• Full UK driving license.

Aspirational Qualifications & Experiences...

• Fully qualified ‘Approved Electrician’ with AM2 and City & Guilds 236-2 or equivalent.
• BS 7671 Electrical Wiring Regulations Accreditation.
• Awareness of Electricity Supply Regulations.
• Awareness of the Electricity at Work Act.
• JIB/ECS card.
• 2391, inspecting and testing would be advantageous.
• NVQ Level 3.

Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a world-class film and TV studio, boasting one of the largest facilities in the UK. Our purpose-built site features 20 sound stages, production offices, workshops, an indoor water tank, and an extensive backlot.

WBSL includes the on-site production rentals business, Warner Bros. Set Lighting & Rigging, providing state-of-the-art lighting equipment and production supplies for shoots worldwide. Additionally, Warner Bros. De Lane Lea offers picture and sound post-production services, with a dedicated Dailies department on-site.

Adjacent to the studio, Warner Bros. Leavesden Park offers modern office space and The WonderWorks, a bespoke childcare facility for those working on-site. With amenities like an on-site gym, café, and wellbeing room, WBSL is the perfect home for productions and has become the studio of choice for filmmakers worldwide.

Onsite Working

This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at the studio. Subject to applicable laws, WBD reserves the right to change this working agreement as needed for business requirements.
