Food Production Operative

Connect Appointments is recruiting Food Production Operatives to join an established dairy manufacturing business based in Gifford.

Our client produces specialist cheese and dairy products to BRCGS food safety standards, offering a 4-on 4-off shift pattern that gives you four days off every week as standard, with both day and night shifts available.

What's on offer?

• Ongoing temporary position
• Working week of a 4-on 4-off shift pattern
• Your choice of days (6am to 2pm) or nights (10pm to 6am)
• £13.50 per hour - paid weekly

As a Food Production Operative, your duties will include:

• Assisting in the production and packing of cheese and cultured cream products to defined specifications
• Performing shredding and dicing of mozzarella using approved equipment and safe working practices
• Filling, packing, sealing and labelling products accurately including correct batch codes and use-by dates
• Completing all production and cleaning records accurately to support traceability and audit compliance
• Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness in line with HACCP and allergen control requirements

To be considered as a Food Production Operative, you will need:

• Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is advantageous
• An understanding of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
• A reliable, detail-focused approach to work with the ability to follow instructions accurately
• A positive, team-focused attitude
