Join Our Team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor!

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Construction team in Solihull, West Midlands. In this pivotal role, you will be the Commercial Lead on an exciting new build school project valued at approximately £30 million.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing commercial resources and maximizing gross margin through effective contract placement and control.
  • Appointing subcontractors, placing orders for materials and plant, and negotiating variations with customers and suppliers.
  • Measuring and valuing work to support invoicing and payment processes while maintaining positive cash flow.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Leading and motivating the project's commercial staff, promoting best practices and collaborative working.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Have excellent communication skills and experience working effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and supply chains.
  • Hold relevant qualifications (a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable) and have experience in a similar role.
  • Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Are flexible, able to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Are proficient in using IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software.
