Position: School Administrator

Basic Salary: £21,257.48

Contract: Term Time Only

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Ruddington, Nottinghamshire

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a School Administrator, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for parents, visitors, and colleagues. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils and visitors.
  • Implementing initiatives to enhance the quality of life and wellbeing for both pupils and staff.

Reception Duties

Be the friendly face of our school! Your key tasks will involve:

  • Answering the phone with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Ensuring visitors sign in and receive a visitor's badge.
  • Maintaining the shared calendar and updating school information.
  • Providing refreshments for visitors.
  • Managing resource ordering and deliveries.
  • Distributing internal and external correspondence.
  • Arranging ID cards for new starters and governors.
  • Liaising with transport services for pupil transport.
  • Supporting education staff with work experience opportunities for pupils.

Administrative Support

Provide essential administrative support to the Headteacher and the school management team. Your tasks will include:

  • Producing letters and memorandums.
  • Managing filing and photocopying tasks.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Accurately minuting meetings and scheduling school-based meetings.
  • Inputting information onto the school’s MIS platform, Ed:gen.
  • Managing referrals for school places and organizing assessments.
  • Overseeing the school diary, including room bookings and meeting schedules.
  • Monitoring and recording expenditure.

Attendance Management

Help us keep track of our students' attendance! Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and tracking attendance and punctuality.
  • Communicating with parents regarding absenteeism.
  • Maintaining accurate attendance records and producing reports.
  • Advising parents on attendance procedures and expectations.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with Ed:gen and CPOMS.
  • The ability to work constructively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and the ability to work under pressure.
