At Easthorpe School, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated School Administrator to join our vibrant community in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire. With a basic salary of £21,257.48 and a term-time only contract, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive environment for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

About Easthorpe School

Opened in November 2022, Easthorpe School is an independent specialist provision serving children and young people in the East Midlands. We currently support 70 pupils with a dedicated team of 50 staff. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment for students with various needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and more.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a School Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reception Duties:
    • Welcome parents, visitors, and colleagues with a warm and professional demeanor.
    • Manage phone calls and messages efficiently.
    • Ensure visitor safety by managing sign-ins and badges.
    • Maintain the shared calendar and school information.
    • Coordinate deliveries and manage internal and external correspondence.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist the Headteacher and management team with administrative tasks.
    • Produce letters, memos, and maintain filing systems.
    • Input data into our MIS platform, Ed:gen, and manage school correspondence.
    • Support the Headteacher with Local Authority correspondence.
  • Attendance Monitoring:
    • Track and monitor school attendance and punctuality.
    • Communicate with parents regarding absenteeism.
    • Prepare attendance reports for the Headteacher and Governing Body.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with Ed:gen and CPOMS.
  • The ability to work constructively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
