Your Role in the SMR Division

In this exciting position, you’ll be part of the Barnet cluster, covering areas like Barnet, Finchley, and Hendon. Forget emergency callouts and unpredictable shifts; you’ll work through a scheduled list of jobs, equipped with the time, tools, and support to deliver quality work.

Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, where each job is pre-booked and waiting for you. You’ll carry out:

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspections
• Vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards

With SMR, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on delivering planned work, ensuring you can prepare and execute each task effectively.

What You’ll Need

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
