We’re on the lookout for compassionate and motivated Residential Support Workers to join our Southampton team. Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Support young people with their daily routines
- Build positive relationships and become a trusted adult
- Help them develop confidence, life skills, and independence
- Ensure they feel safe, supported, and encouraged every day
Whether you have prior experience working with children or this is your first role in this field, we are committed to providing you with all the training and support you need to thrive.
Working Pattern
Your shifts will be on a rotating schedule:
- Each shift lasts 24 hours (you will be paid to sleep at the home)
- Typically, you will complete two or three shifts in a row
- Expect a mix of weekdays and weekends
- Opportunities for overtime are available if you wish
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or equivalent (or be willing to work towards it)
- Have a full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel required)
- Be friendly and able to communicate effectively with children and colleagues
- Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us)
