Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are excited to invite a passionate Application Manager to join our dynamic Technology team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will report directly to the Product Support Manager and play a pivotal role in our European Technology team.
As the European Application Manager, you will collaborate closely with Global and European Technology leadership and process owners across various markets. Your mission? To ensure that our Product operations run smoothly and efficiently, maximizing application uptime and swiftly restoring any service disruptions. You will lead a blend of internal and external resources to deliver an exemplary service that our business can rely on.
Building strong relationships with business stakeholders is key. You will share vital service information, ensure that the right level of service is delivered to meet business objectives, and gather feedback to drive continuous improvements.
Hybrid Working Model: Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid working contract! You will be required to attend our office in Ashford, Kent or Hemel Hempstead 3 times per week. So, be prepared for some travel and commuting for project and team meetings.
Fluency in English & French is essential, along with a willingness to travel within Europe as needed.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily incoming cases and incidents related to applications in your functional area.
- Act as an incident manager for priority 2 and 3 incidents, while priority 1 incidents will follow the MIM process.
- Plan and coordinate ongoing IT activities for your functional area.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams.
- Provide technical expertise and contribute to working groups focused on included applications.
- Oversee system maintenance, minor development, patching, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with governing regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR, Cybersecurity).
- Develop and maintain routines and documentation for systems and working methods.
- Work closely with vendors on monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage stakeholders in IT and your functional area.
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing, including system and integration testing.
- Support business planning and execution for user acceptance testing.
- Create and maintain system documentation (application versions, integrations, dependencies).
- Act as the subject matter expert on systems, supporting business needs and requirements.
- Participate in an on-call rota as required.
About You:
To thrive in this role, you should possess a solid technical understanding of both application development and maintenance, including patching, bug fixes, upgrades, and cybersecurity. Familiarity with application and integration layers, as well as the relationships between technical components (servers, operating systems, databases, integrations), is crucial. You should also have a good grasp of ITIL V4, O365, IT security requirements, and Risk Management.
Experience in writing technical documentation and collaborating effectively with cross-functional and European teams is essential. You should be adept at driving and leading tasks and initiatives, both independently and collaboratively.
