Are you ready to take your IT career to the next level? Sysco is on the lookout for a passionate IT Services Engineer to join our dynamic onsite Warrington Technology team, reporting directly to the Services Engineer Manager.
In this exciting role, you will provide both onsite and remote 2nd line technical support for end-user technology across Sysco GB. Your mission? To deliver exceptional customer service while assisting your colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.
This position is based at our Warrington depot and will involve travel to Wigan, Ewloe, and Bodelwyddan, so flexibility is key!
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver top-notch onsite and remote 2nd line support for end-users.
- Prioritize your workload to maintain excellent service levels.
- Manage and resolve incidents and service requests through our helpdesk ticketing system.
- Proactively replace end-of-life assets, ensuring proper disposal or recycling.
- Conduct IT inductions for new starters, equipping them with the necessary hardware and software.
- Administer mobile devices via an MDM platform and manage SIM card connections.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware, including laptops, desktops, printers, and networking equipment.
- Ensure all changes comply with change management guidelines and policies.
- Support projects to facilitate the deployment of new technologies.
About You:
We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of IT security, infrastructure, and service standards. You should be well-versed in Microsoft products, including Windows 10 and 11, Teams, Office 365, and Azure. Experience with MDM platforms like Endpoint Manager (Intune) and a grasp of networking (Wireless, LAN, and WAN) are essential.
Your excellent interpersonal skills and customer service focus will shine through, along with your keen attention to detail—crucial for maintaining accurate inventory data and documentation. Experience in supporting networked printers and strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and applications are a must. Familiarity with Active Directory and Azure AD administration is highly advantageous, as is an ITIL V3/V4 foundation certificate and experience with service delivery frameworks.
