Are you ready to take your project management skills to the next level? Sysco is on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic Enterprise Services Team (HR Finance and Legal) on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. You’ll be reporting directly to the Portfolio Manager and playing a pivotal role in driving technology initiatives that align with our strategic goals.

In this exciting position, you will lead projects across Europe, collaborating with both internal and external resources in a matrix organization. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our projects not only meet business outcomes but also transition smoothly into Business As Usual (BAU) operations.

We offer a hybrid working model, requiring you to be in the office in Ashford, Kent or Hemel Hempstead three times a week. Flexibility and comfort with travel for project and team meetings are essential!

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, and manage project delivery, ensuring scope aligns with objectives set by the sponsor.
  • Ensure adherence to governance standards, including project delivery methodology and RAID logs.
  • Stay updated on business change opportunities to maintain relevant knowledge.
  • Translate prioritized project ideas into clear technology scopes/designs for approval, supporting business case development.
  • Define and manage an effective communication plan to keep all stakeholders informed.
  • Control project budgets and manage resources to ensure adequate capacity and timelines.
  • Successfully implement changes into BAU operations, meeting project success criteria.
  • Manage and escalate Risks, Issues, and Dependencies effectively.
  • Engage in stakeholder management up to Executive level.

About You:

As a Project Manager, you bring end-to-end IT Project Management experience, particularly in delivering complex technical projects in fast-paced environments. Your background in change management and deploying technologies across multiple sites using Agile and Waterfall methodologies will set you apart.

With a solid understanding of business processes and stakeholder management, you excel at managing multiple third-party system integrators. Strong presentation and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. Your ability to negotiate and build consensus will be key to influencing team members and driving project success.
