IT Services Engineer

Are you ready to take your IT career to the next level? Sysco is on the lookout for a passionate IT Services Engineer to become a vital part of our onsite Warrington Technology team, reporting directly to the Services Engineer Manager.
In this dynamic role, you will provide both onsite and remote 2nd line technical support for end-user technology across Sysco GB. Your mission? To deliver exceptional customer service while engaging with colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.
This position is based at our Warrington depot, with travel required to Wigan, Ewloe, and Bodelwyddan. Flexibility is key, as you’ll be supporting multiple locations!
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite and remote 2nd line support for end-users.
- Prioritize your workload to maintain top-notch service levels.
- Manage and resolve incidents and service requests through our helpdesk ticketing system.
- Proactively replace end-of-life assets, ensuring proper disposal or recycling.
- Conduct IT inductions for new starters, equipping them with the necessary hardware and software.
- Administer mobile devices via an MDM platform and manage SIM card connections.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware, including laptops, desktops, printers, and networking equipment.
- Ensure all changes comply with our change management guidelines and policies.
- Support projects aimed at deploying new technologies.
About You:
We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of IT security, infrastructure, and service standards. You should have technical expertise in Microsoft products, including:
- Client Operating Systems (Windows 10 and 11)
- Teams, Office 365, and Azure
Experience with MDM platforms like Endpoint Manager (Intune) and a grasp of networking (Wireless, LAN, and WAN) are essential. Your excellent interpersonal skills and customer service focus will shine through, especially when maintaining accurate inventory data and documentation.
Additionally, familiarity with supporting networked printers, troubleshooting hardware and applications, and understanding Active Directory/Azure AD administration will set you apart. An ITIL V3/V4 foundation certificate and experience with service delivery frameworks are highly advantageous.
