Location: North Wales - Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham

Salary: Up to £43,626.47 per annum (dependent upon experience)

Your Role

We are on the lookout for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Full-Time Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly team in Abergele. You will play a crucial role in developing and promoting our fostering services across Cymru North, with the flexibility to work from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Foster Parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
  • Monitor the suitability and competence of Foster Parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated Foster Parents in line with FCA’s Operational Standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the child’s network to identify needs and provide support.
  • Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and Foster Parents.
  • Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams.
  • Promote participation of children/young people in agency development and community resources.
  • Participate in an ‘out of hours’ support service on a rota basis.
  • Occasionally conduct initial home visits and Form F assessments.

What We’re Looking For

  • A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work Wales or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
  • A full driving licence.
