Join Our Team as a Residential Childcare Support Worker!

Are you ready to make a genuine impact in the lives of young people? At Budwood Limited, part of the Polaris Community, we provide essential residential care and support for children and young people who have faced challenging beginnings. Our mission is to create safe, stable, and nurturing environments where these young individuals can rebuild their confidence, acquire new skills, and work towards a brighter future.

This is more than just a job—it's a chance to be a part of something truly meaningful. We are currently seeking Casual Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Bournemouth. If you have a caring heart and a desire to help others, we want to hear from you!

Your Role

As a Casual Residential Support Worker, you will:

  • Support young people with their daily routines
  • Build positive relationships and become a trusted adult
  • Help them develop confidence, life skills, and independence
  • Ensure they feel safe, supported, and encouraged every day

No two days will be the same, and while experience with children or young people is beneficial, it’s not a requirement. What matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine desire to help others. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident in your role from day one!

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or equivalent (or be willing to work towards it)
  • Be friendly and able to communicate effectively with children and colleagues
  • Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us)

What We Offer

At Budwood, we value our team members and provide a supportive environment where you can grow. Here’s what you can expect:

  • A sleep-in allowance of £64 per night
  • Holiday accrual
  • All meals on duty provided
  • Promotion opportunities
  • Monthly clinical and professional supervision

If you’re ready to build a meaningful career supporting young people, we’d love to hear from you! Apply now and become part of a team that makes a real difference every single day.

We also welcome applications for full-time, permanent roles. Budwood Limited is an equal opportunities employer and encourages applications from suitably qualified candidates. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
