Hours

40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Salary

From £27,976 plus overtime, call out, and standby

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you’ll be an essential part of our highways maintenance team, ensuring efficient and timely services. Your daily tasks will include:

• Responding to highway defects within designated timescales, including installing and removing emergency traffic management signage.
• Delivering minor improvement works to enhance the Somerset network.
• Using tablet devices to provide accurate records of works and incidents.
• Operating a variety of plant and equipment safely and effectively.
• Promoting customer care by working closely with colleagues and interacting politely with clients and the general public.
