Basic Salary: Up to £41,334.38 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Remote, supporting Foster Parents in Kent

What You'll Do

As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, your role will be pivotal in supporting Foster Parents and ensuring the best outcomes for children in care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing guidance and support to Foster Parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
  • Monitoring the suitability and competence of Foster Parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Educating Foster Parents on their roles, responsibilities, and the standards expected of them.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions in line with FCA’s Operational Standards.
  • Collaborating with the child’s network to identify needs and provide necessary support.
  • Ensuring compliance with all key documentation for children and Foster Parents.
  • Attending meetings and providing reports for Commissioning Teams.
  • Encouraging children and young people to participate in agency development and community resources.
  • Participating in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
  • Conducting occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A Social Work qualification.
  • Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
  • A full driving licence.
