Position: Senior/Supervising Social Worker

Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term
Hours: 21 hours per week over 3 days
Salary: Up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE)
Location: Home-based, supporting Foster Parents across the East Midlands, primarily in Derby and Derbyshire, with some households in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, you will be a vital part of our friendly and dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruiting, training, assessing, and supporting Foster Parents.
  • Ensuring high-quality placements for looked-after children.
  • Collaborating closely with a range of involved agencies and professionals.

About You:

We are looking for someone who is:

  • An enthusiastic and committed self-starter, able to work independently while staying connected with team members and Foster Parents.
  • Equipped with excellent assessment skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in IT, with the ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • A qualified Social Worker with current HCPC registration.
  • Experienced in fostering and services for children (though less experienced candidates are welcome to apply).
  • Knowledgeable about relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in fostering and safeguarding.
  • Driven by a shared creative vision, whether you’re new to fostering or an experienced professional.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time, home-based position with a competitive salary of up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE), depending on experience, along with a car allowance and excellent benefits.
