Location: Long Eaton

Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent

Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 per annum, depending on experience

Your Role and Responsibilities

As our Principal Social Worker, you will:

  • Support and deputise for the Registered Manager as needed
  • Supervise team members to ensure effective functioning
  • Empower foster parents to reach their full potential
  • Monitor compliance with fostering standards
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and professionals to prioritize safeguarding and positive outcomes
  • Join an out-of-hours rota to provide managerial support to Social Workers

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced social worker who:

  • Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent
  • Has experience working with children and young people, including those looked after
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and fostering standards
  • Has strong leadership skills and a passion for making a difference
  • Can work autonomously while being an effective team player
  • Is willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
  • Holds a full driving license with unrestricted access to a car
