Your Responsibilities
- Support Foster Parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in care
- Monitor the suitability and competence of Foster Parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
- Provide regular supervision and support to Foster Parents in line with FCA’s Operational Standards
- Collaborate with the child’s network to identify needs and provide necessary support
- Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and Foster Parents
- Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams
- Promote participation of children/young people in agency development
- Participate in out-of-hours support and day duty systems
- Conduct initial home visits and Form F assessments as needed
What You Need
- A Social Work qualification
- Professional registration with Social Work Wales or equivalent
- Strong report writing skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
- Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays
- Confidence in transporting children in challenging situations
- Full driving licence
