Here, you’ll deliver planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to our members, whether at their driveway or workplace car park.
Your Role at a Glance
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you’ll enjoy:
- Competitive Base Salary: Start with a base salary of £45,378 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable), with on-target earnings of up to £57,000.
- Guaranteed Overtime: Increase your earnings with guaranteed overtime options, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
- Structured Work Hours: Work 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Your Daily Experience
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, where each job is pre-booked and the member is expecting you. You’ll carry out:
- Routine servicing
- Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
- In-depth repairs
- Member advice and recommendations
- Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
From day one, you’ll have everything you need: a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set, and advanced diagnostics. Use your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to get people moving safely and confidently!
What You’ll Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
