As part of our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division, you’ll play a crucial role in providing planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to our members, whether at their driveway or workplace car park.

Your Earnings and Work Schedule

We offer a competitive base salary of £40,178, with the potential to earn up to £52,000 through bonuses and overtime. Here’s what you can expect:

• Guaranteed overtime option to boost your base salary to £44,385.
• 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and just 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Your Daily Experience

Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, where each job is pre-booked and the member is expecting you. You’ll be responsible for:

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Providing member advice and recommendations based on your inspections.
• Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards.

From day one, you’ll have everything you need: a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, full tool set, and advanced diagnostics. You’ll use your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to get people moving safely and confidently.

What You’ll Need

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
