Your Role
We are on the lookout for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our dedicated team at our home in Badgworth, Axbridge. In this pivotal role, you will:
- Manage a 3-bedded children's home, overseeing a team of 6 to deliver high-quality care that enriches the lives of young people.
- Ensure the smooth operation and administration of the home, tackling wider operational tasks as needed.
- Produce, update, and monitor plans and reports, demonstrating an organized and flexible managerial approach.
- Lead, motivate, and develop your staff team in a culture of openness and enthusiasm, including delivering training.
- Represent the company professionally to external agencies and contribute to our community development.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people. You should have:
- A thorough understanding of Children's Home legislation and Ofsted inspection requirements, along with child protection and safeguarding protocols.
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Children and Young People, and QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in residential care, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- A valid manual driving license and access to a car with business insurance, along with the ability to undertake on-call duties (approximately 2 per month).
What We Offer

- 22 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
- Occupancy Bonus: £175 per child after the first child (e.g., 3-bed home = 2 x £175 = £350 pcm).
- A £2,000 car allowance.
- Ofsted Report Bonuses: £500 for a Good report and £1,000 for an Outstanding report.
- A non-contributory pension with a 9% employer contribution and company sick pay after 6 months probation.
- On-call payments: £10 per day Monday to Friday and £50 for Saturday and Sunday.
- Enhanced sick pay: 5 days full sick pay.
