Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high-quality care for children. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, ensuring effective supervision.
- Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments and decision-making.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- A strong report writer, capable of meeting strict deadlines.
- Possessing a full driving license and unrestricted access to your own car.
Requirements
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children’s services.
Working Conditions
In this demanding yet rewarding position, you will also take on a quality assurance role to maintain high standards and provide training to both prospective and current foster parents. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
