Are you a warm and motivated individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? At Bay View Childcare, we are seeking passionate Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our welcoming team in Capernwray, Carnforth. In this fulfilling role, you will work in a family-style home, supporting up to four young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Your Role
As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and homely environment where every young person can thrive.
- Help children build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve positive outcomes.
- Deliver high-quality care and key worker support, consistently meeting and exceeding Ofsted standards.
- Build trusting relationships with young people, their families, and external professionals.
- Contribute to individual care plans and support routines.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming home environment, assisting with daily tasks like cooking and shopping.
- Support children through daily activities, responding appropriately to their needs.
- Record progress and incidents accurately, ensuring clear communication with management.
- Act as a positive role model, fostering a culture of trust and teamwork.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A full UK driving licence.
- A willingness to complete either the Level 3 Diploma or Level 4 Practitioner Apprenticeship within two years if you don’t already hold a relevant qualification.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position with a shift pattern totaling 40 hours per week. You will have the opportunity to earn a base salary of £26,603.20 per annum, with the potential to increase to £33,323.20 per annum through sleep-in shifts.
