Salary: Up to £39,500 per annum

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Your Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to fostering. You will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, ensuring high levels of supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.

What You Need

  • A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • A solid understanding of relevant legislation and publications pertaining to children's services.
  • A full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This is a demanding yet rewarding position that includes quality assurance and training roles for both prospective and current foster parents. You will need to be an excellent report writer and able to meet strict deadlines.

As part of our commitment to safeguarding, the successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, with the cost covered by ISP.
