Position: Principal Social Worker - Fostering
Location: Long Eaton, Milton Keynes, and Stonehouse/Gloucester will be considered
Hours: 35 hours per week, permanent
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 per annum, dependent upon experience

Your Role:
As our Principal Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture that recognizes the impact of trauma, abuse, and neglect on children and young people. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and deputizing for the Registered Manager as needed
- Supervising team members to ensure effective functioning
- Promoting and supporting foster parents to reach their full potential
- Monitoring compliance and promoting best practices among foster parents and staff
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and professionals to ensure safeguarding and positive outcomes
- Joining an out-of-hours rota to provide managerial support to Social Workers
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced social worker who is passionate about making a difference. You should have:
- A Social Work England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent
- Experience working with children and young people, including those looked after
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and fostering standards
- A full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car
Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safeguarding are essential. You should be able to work autonomously while also being an effective team player.
