Unqualified: Base salary of £27,866.34, with potential earnings up to £33,447.67 including sleep-in shifts.
Qualified: Base salary of £29,181.57, with potential earnings up to £34,762.90 including sleep-in shifts.

Your Role

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in our children's residential home. Your mission will be to support young people facing challenging behaviors, requiring flexibility, resilience, and strong organizational skills. You will be dedicated to delivering high-quality care that empowers each young person to achieve positive outcomes.

This is a permanent position with fantastic career prospects and comprehensive training within a growing organization. You will work an average of 38 hours per week on a 2 days on/4 days off shift pattern, including 2 sleep-ins. Plus, enjoy generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime, and a performance-related bonus!

Essential Skills

• Full manual driving license
• Ability to work independently while maintaining clear, organized records
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive team player attitude
• Competence in completing daily records to statutory and policy standards
• Empathetic, patient, and supportive nature
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with young people
• Level 3 Children & Young People qualification, or a willingness to work towards it (fully funded)
