This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in data! As an Apprentice Data Analyst, you will gain hands-on experience in a real business environment while completing a recognized apprenticeship qualification. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and eagerness to learn!
What You'll Learn
As part of our team, you will gradually discover how to:
- Work with data from various systems across children's services
- Produce insightful reports and dashboards for your colleagues
- Maintain data processes and support reporting tools
- Respond to data requests and help answer important business questions
You will be introduced to essential tools such as SQL Server, Excel, and reporting platforms, with comprehensive training and support provided throughout your journey.
Your Responsibilities
- Learn how to collect, clean, and organize data
- Support the creation of reports and dashboards
- Assist with routine data tasks and processes
- Help investigate data issues and resolve errors
- Collaborate with colleagues to understand their data needs
- Develop skills in tools like Excel and SQL, with full training provided
- Complete your apprenticeship coursework alongside your role

Essential Qualities
- An interest in data, numbers, or problem-solving
- A curious mindset and a willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail
- Basic IT skills, e.g., Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Qualities (but not required)
- GCSEs or equivalent, including maths
- Basic experience with Excel, including formulas and tables
- Interest in technology or data analysis
