Location: Bromsgrove

Full Time: 35 hours per week

Salary: £14,600.04 per annum

Contract: 18-month fixed term

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in data! As an Apprentice Data Analyst, you will gain hands-on experience in a real business environment while working towards a recognized apprenticeship qualification. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and motivation!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Learning how to collect, clean, and organize data
  • Supporting the creation of reports and dashboards
  • Assisting with routine data tasks and processes
  • Helping investigate data issues and resolve errors
  • Collaborating with colleagues to understand their data needs
  • Developing skills in tools such as Excel and SQL, with full training provided
  • Completing your apprenticeship coursework alongside your role

What the Team Does

Our central Information & Performance team manages a SQL Server environment with reporting tools, integrating data from various systems across the organization. As an apprentice, you’ll learn how to:

  • Work with data from different systems within children’s services
  • Produce insightful reports and dashboards for your colleagues
  • Maintain data processes and support reporting tools
  • Respond to data requests and help answer business questions

What We’re Looking For

We value attitude and potential over experience. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Essential:
    • An interest in data, numbers, or problem-solving
    • A curious mindset and a willingness to learn
    • Good attention to detail
    • Basic IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office)
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Desirable, but Not Required:
    • GCSEs or equivalent, including maths
    • Basic experience with Excel (formulas and tables)
    • Interest in technology or data analysis
