Join Our Team as a Supervising Social Worker - Fostering!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Do you have the skills and experience to support foster parents in their vital role? If so, we invite you to explore an exciting opportunity with the Integrated Services Programme (ISP) in Ashurst, Southampton!
About Us
Founded in 1987 by a dedicated group of foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK’s first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have developed a unique Integrated Service Programme that places children at the heart of everything we do. Our approach combines the expertise of social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working together to provide comprehensive support for foster parents and the children they care for.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of up to £39,500 per annum, plus a £3,000 car allowance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload for effective supervision.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring practice and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Knowledgeable about relevant legislation and publications related to children’s services.
- Capable of excellent report writing and meeting strict deadlines.
- Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Possesses a full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.
Working Conditions
This demanding position requires a balance of quality assurance and training roles for both prospective and current foster parents. You will be supported by a team that values collaboration and professional growth.
Why Join ISP?
At ISP, we believe in taking care of our team as much as we take care of the children and families we serve. Here’s what you can expect:
- 30 days of annual leave, increasing to 35 days with length of service, plus bank holidays.
- Company Pension and Life Assurance (x2).
- Employee Discount Scheme and Medical Cash Plan.
We are an equal opportunities employer and encourage applications from all qualified candidates. ISP is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and we expect all staff to share this commitment.
If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact and grow your career with us, we’d love to hear from you!
