Your New Role
We’re thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity as the Technical Services Manager at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making Of Harry Potter (WBSTL). In this role, you’ll lead our dynamic Technical Services team, ensuring that all show-related aspects of the Studio Tour—like lighting, sound, video, sets, and props—are maintained to the highest standards.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Manage, train, and develop the Technical Services team for high performance and compliance.
- Drive technical excellence by maintaining show systems and delivering planned preventative maintenance.
- Champion health & safety and continuous improvement, proactively resolving technical issues.
- Oversee resource planning and rota management for operational efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration for effective planning and delivery of technical installations.
- Act as Duty Manager and Duty Technician to manage day-to-day operations.
- Manage departmental budget and supplier relationships, ensuring strong cost control.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous management experience in a Technical Services team within tourism, leisure, or heritage industries.
- Technical expertise in AV installations, electronics, interactives, and animatronics.
- Project and supplier management experience with strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead multi-skilled technical teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong knowledge of facilities management and effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and IT skills.
- Qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, IOSH, NBOSH are advantageous.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time role (40 hours a week) with a shift pattern that includes:
- Regular weekend and evening work across a seven-day rota.
- A high level of flexibility to meet business needs, including working on weekends, bank holidays, and late evenings.
As an ambassador for the business, you’ll support the Head of Show Experience and represent the team in meetings.
Onsite Working
This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at the workplace. WBD reserves the right to change this working agreement as needed, with reasonable notice.
