Your New Role

We’re thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity as the Technical Services Manager at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making Of Harry Potter (WBSTL). In this pivotal role, you will lead our Technical Services team, ensuring that all show-related aspects of the Studio Tour—such as lighting, sound, video, sets, and props—are maintained to the highest standards.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Manage, train, and develop the Technical Services team to ensure high performance and compliance.
  • Drive technical excellence by maintaining show systems and delivering planned preventative maintenance.
  • Champion health & safety, proactively resolving technical issues and enhancing visitor experience.
  • Oversee resource planning and rota management for operational efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration for effective planning and delivery of technical installations.
  • Act as Duty Manager and Duty Technician to manage day-to-day operations.
  • Manage departmental budget and supplier relationships, ensuring strong cost control.

Qualifications and Experience

We’re looking for candidates who possess:

  • Previous management experience in a Technical Services team within the tourism, leisure, or heritage industry.
  • Technical expertise in AV installations, electronics, interactives, and animatronics.
  • Project and supplier management experience with strong communication skills.
  • A proven ability to lead multi-skilled technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities management and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and IT skills.
  • Qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, IOSH, or NBOSH (advantageous).

Working Conditions

This is a full-time role (40 hours a week) with a shift pattern that includes:

  • Regular weekend and evening work across a seven-day rota.
  • A high level of flexibility to meet business needs, including working during bank holidays and school holidays.

As an ambassador for the business, you will support and deputize for the Head of Show Experience in meetings and collaborations.
