Your New Role
We’re thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity as the Technical Services Manager at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making Of Harry Potter (WBSTL). In this pivotal role, you will lead our Technical Services team, ensuring that all show-related aspects—like lighting, sound, video, sets, and props—are maintained to the highest standards.
Your Role Accountabilities
As the Technical Services Manager, you will:
- Manage, train, and develop a high-performing Technical Services team.
- Drive technical excellence by maintaining show systems and delivering preventative maintenance.
- Champion health & safety and continuously improve processes and visitor experiences.
- Oversee resource planning and ensure operational efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration for effective project delivery.
- Act as Duty Manager and Duty Technician to manage daily operations.
- Manage departmental budgets and supplier relationships to ensure cost control.
Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous management experience in a Technical Services team, ideally within tourism or live events.
- Technical expertise in AV installations, electronics, and networked show control systems.
- Strong project and supplier management skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Proven leadership in fast-paced operational environments.
- Knowledge of facilities management and effective problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications (IPAF, PASMA, IOSH, NBOSH) are advantageous.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time role (40 hours a week) with a shift pattern that includes:
- Regular weekend and evening work.
- A high level of flexibility to meet business needs.
As an ambassador for our brand, you will support the Head of Show Experience and represent the team in meetings.
