You’ll be part of the Chesterfield cluster, covering areas like Chesterfield, Mansfield, Alfreton, Bolsover, Clay Cross, and Dronfield. Enjoy the freedom of being out on the road, working through a clearly planned schedule of appointments—no emergency callouts, just organized, pre-booked work!
What to Expect in Your Role
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, and each job is pre-booked with the member expecting you. Your responsibilities will include:
- Routine servicing
- Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
- In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Providing member advice and recommendations based on your inspections
- Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards
With SMR, you’ll have the time and tools to do quality work, ensuring every job is done right!
What You’ll Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
